My Mead and Stark family both from my mothers side. I am double related to David Stark - my 1st cousin 8 times removed, and Jennie Mead his wife, my 3rd cousin 7 times removed. While researching I found that Orpa Marilla Stark, grand daughter of theirs and daughter of Henry Mead Stark also married a George Flavel Mead. My interest is really peaked now. I do not know how George Flavel is related to my Mead family----YET. Have not found family on the 1900 census as of yet. 1) Frederick W born June 26, 1890; married Letitia Clugston born 1890 (found last name in Census record; had two daughters: A) Letitia born June 18, 1917 and married Walter Urtel B) Kathryn born June 18, 1917 2) Frank Herman born July 18, 1892; per his WW1 Draft card he was married, but have not been able to find him in the 1920 or 1930 census records 3) William Fred born June 25, 1894; per his WW1 Draft card he was single; but have not been able to find in the 1920 or 1930 census record 4) Elizabeth E born Febraury 2, 1896; married Frederick W Pratt born April 1, 1898; they had son Frederick born 1921 5) Martha born March 13, 1898; married Lee Wesley Taylor born December 25, 1882, then Henry A Sharts born September 26, 1883 6) Erna born August 1, 1899; married William Sewar born April 15, 1898; then married Raymond Cady born June 16, 1885 7) Herbert W born January 2, 1908, died in Vermont this information was gathered from census records, World War I Draft Registration cards and Social Security Death Index. I have found William and Mary married to Harry Sharts. As for Erna Bluhm, she is listed with her parents in the 1920 census that was taken in January 1920 as single. Yet she has her first child, in Feb. 1920 with William Sewar. Strange to say the least. I have found the following children for Erna and William Sewar: Eleanor born 1920, William C born 1924, Robert born 1926, Norma born 1929 and Carol in 1937. Eleanor married Manuel Drury, Carol married James Cronkhite and Norma married William Maloney. Even in their obits, there is no mention of other siblings. Erna Bluhm Sewar and Martha Bluhm Taylor were sisters and daughters of August and Albertine Bluhm. They also had a sister Elizabeth Bluhm Pratt and a brother named Herbert Bluhm. There were other siblings, but I do not have their names documented. I gave an incorrect first name for him previously. I also gave an incorrect last name for Erna Bluhm. You refreshed my memory that she was a Sewar. Erna had two daughters that I know of and they were twins, Leticia (married to a Urtel) and Katherine. Sewar may have been Katherine's married name. I do remember William Sewar as being my father's cousin. Possibly he was Katherine's son. I am trying to get more information for you. Martha Bluhm Taylor was the 2nd wife of Lee W. Taylor. They had five children, Jean, Lee Jr., Betty, Frederick, and Lauren. I am the oldest in the offspring of seven children born to Frederick and his wife, Gertrude Joyce Noble Taylor. I am the granddaughter of Martha Bluhm who was born in Lockport, NY on March 13, 1898. Her parents were August and Albertine Roggon Bluhm. She married her first husband, Lee W. Taylor on October 26, 1916. They had five children, one of whom is Frederick H. Taylor (my deceased father). She passed away on November 23, 1988. Martha's sisters (that I know of) were Erna Bluhm Urtel and Elizabeth Bluhm Pratt. I only remember meeting one brother, Frederick Bluhm, who resided in Vermont until his death. We are related to the Urtels also.I remember Leticia Urtel as the daughter of Erna. Letitia had a twin sister (sorry, her first name escapes me) who married a Sewar. Gary Urtel, son of Leticia Urtel, last lived on Cottage Rd., Lockport, NY 14094. I moved away from Lockport in 1984 and have lost contact with extended family. My siblings may have some info. Anyone related to the Harrington family listed in the 1820 census? David, James, Theophilus, William Jr. 1 & 2. and the Rev. William Harrington who moved to Hartland, Somerset area 1820.
