I would be extremely interested in having this book. Could you send me details. My grandfather went there from approx 1864 to 1872. I went there for half a year in 1945. And I'm still in touch with a classmate from there. In addition, my cousin in Rochester (the real genealogist) had both an uncle and a father who graduated from there. I have a chapter or two that have been excerpted from the book, but I'd love to have the whole thing. But yes, in the article is says: In the year 1831, while yet in England, he married Rebecca Wenham and by this union had a family of nine children : Peter, William, Mary, William (2), Louisa, William (3) and Mariah, all of whom are dead: and yet two living --Jane E. married Henry F. According to a family bible, he and his wife Malinda (maiden name possibly Tolls/Tolles?) b: 1817 in New York, were living in(or near?) Lockport, NY when their three children were born...William Riley Hubbard b:1836, Otis S. b:1840 and Nancy Jane b:1845. The family ended up in Flint Mi in 1850 where Levi worked as a shoemaker. There were other Hubbards in the boot and shoe business in Lockport during the 1800s...I wonder if there may be a connection? An 1840 census lists a Levi Hubbard in neighboring Wyoming Co. NY with a wife and two young male children (possibly William and Otis??) If there is a lookup volunteer in the Lockport NY area who can find any information pertaining to these folks I would be thrilled! Thank you! Unfortunately, I find no common marriage to tie your branch to mine. The names of Reynolds (used at least twice) as a middle name, and Lockwood (at least two intermarriages), would have occured later in the 1800s which might have supported your wish, but I just can't find any proof to help you. Keep on searchin' as they say. Good luck. Tim Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. But,I am looking for information on my great grandmother. Catherine L. Wetmore. Her maiden name was Catherine L. Reynolds. We can not find info anywhere. She was born around 1865... It is my understanding that her family were tories and went north during the revolutionary war. In seeing your info. I see the name Reynolds and also the name Lockwood. Both family names. She was born in CT...we believe from a 1920 census. Could have been NY state, though, from discussions with my grandmother as a child. Any help would be appreciated.
