    3. Hi Pauline, This is the family you are looking for, I condensed it since censuses are not accurate and would not list city born, only state/country. And even though you feel Margaret was born in England, the census shows Ireland. This can be that the enumerator presumed Ireland since Patrick was born there. Patrick Gibbons, 1854, Ireland Margaret (Casey) Gibbons, 1858, England Patrick, 1874, England Bridget, 1879, England Ann, 1880, England There is a couple, Patrick (1855) Ireland and Margaret (1858) Ireland, which comes the closest to your family. As the census states this Margaret had 7 children, 3 living. Then if this is your family, then Patrick 1874, Bridget 1879, and Ann 1879, had died by the 1900 census. The first child living of this family is Michael, 1885. And there is a Michael Nevins, 27 (1873) who could of been married to Bridget, since he is listed as son-in-law. Name: Patrick Gibbons Home in 1900: Manhattan, New York, New York Age: 45 Estimated birth year: abt 1855 Birthplace: Ireland Relationship to head-of-house: Head Spouse's name: Margaret Race: White Immigration year: 1878 Name: Margaret Gibbons Home in 1900: Manhattan, New York, New York Age: 42 Estimated birth year: abt 1858 Birthplace: Ireland Relationship to head-of-house: Wife Spouse's name: Patrick Race: White Immigration year: 1874 In looking at the image, I feel Patrick Sr. listed above actually immigrated in 1873, with his wife following in 1874. Others listed in the 1900 census with this family are as follows Michael Gibbons 14 Mary Gibbons 10 Patrick Gibbons 8 Michael Nevins 27 - son in law Delia Nevins 14 - neice I shall keep checking for a variation of Gibbons. -- Regards, D.R.
