    1. [NYNEWYOR] DELEON Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the DELEON Family of New York. The first is a photograph of Maggie DELEON which was taken at the Dana Studio in New York City. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Maggie likely in her 30's at the time it was taken. The second photograph is identified as Ed DELEON and was also taken at the Dana Studio in New York City, probably sometime in the 1880's when he was in his teens. Based on limited research I was able to locate the family in census records as follows: 1880 census of New York City: Thomas EDMONDS, age 79, a Retired Merchant, born Ireland, parents born Ireland Margaret J. DELEON, dau, age 33, Keeping House, born NY, parents born Ireland Edward E. DELEON, grandson, age 13, at School, born NY, parents born NY Sarah HINES, servant, age 60, born Ireland, parents born Ireland 1910 census of New Rochelle, NY: - living in the home of John & Margaret A. YOUNG Margaret J. DELEON, friend, age 64, a widow, 1 child/1 living, born NY, parents born Ireland/NY Edward E. DELEON, friend, age 40, born NY, parents born Spain/NY 1920 census of New Rochelle, NY: Edward E. DELEON, age 54, born NY, parents born Spain/USA, an Artist in Own Studio Robert S. DODGE, nephew, age 30, divorced, born NY, parents born NY, an Investment Securities Broker I am hoping to locate someone from this DELEON Family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or if you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. K. DeLeon is a friend of my sibling who lives in Europe. I will forward this to my sibling -- alas! on vacation this week -- to pass along. It may take several weeks to ascertain. Please do not destroy in the meantime. Thank you!
