I do not have access to any newspaper online but the Brooklyn Eagle. If someone out there could help me with the NY times I would appreciate some help. I have an ancestor whose name is Martha Ethel Marshall. She went by the name Ethel. Somewhere around 1899 she marries a man named Kearney/ Kearny(I do not know his first name). I have looked on the Italian site and found no record of the marriage. I have also looked in the index for 1900 census and she is not listed with her new husband. She does however show up as a widow on the 1910 census with their daughter Muriel saying that they had been married 11 years and had only 1 child. This makes me believe that he probably died soon after they were married. In the 1920 census she is shown as being married to a George Glanz they are living in Freeport, N. Hempstead, NY (on LI). There is no record of their marriage on the It. site either. I am hoping that the NY papers will either give something about deaths or marriages. Thanks for the help. Joan
