Hi listers, I am new to this list and not familiar with US research. I am trying to find further details about my husband’s great grand uncle, Alexander Reid STEVENSON, born Kinrosshire, Scotland abt 1859 (parents William STEVENSON and Elizabeth nee REID). He is last found, aged 22, in Scotland in the 1881 census in Lanarkshire as a Draper’s assistant. He then ‘turns up’ married to Mary Josephine ROAN (parents George ROAN and Margaret WORRELL or MORRELL) on 3 Jul 1888 in Manhattan, NY, NY (according to the IGI). Would like any information about this family and descendents. Any ideas on where I could locate further information about them, or perhaps even a ‘distant’ relative.
