Just a curiosity. As I was re-checking the Ancestry records for an ancestor in the 1870 New York City census', I found three census' for the same family. I understand about the second enumeration, but found no duplication of neighbors names on any of the three pages. I have no way of telling whether there are three different addresses, though there are two different wards listed. The dates for the three census' were: 10 January, 20 June, and 2 August, all 1870. The same ancestor was listed twice on the same page in the 1860 New York City census; maybe he (or his wife) was trying to get "multiple listing."
