    1. Re: [NYNEWYOR] Help with ALBERT HOLMES
    2. May I say thank you to the people who have given me ideas of where to look for Albert (and maybe even his aunt [I think] Julia). I'm not completely satisfied with what I have uncovered and that's mainly because as far as I know, no one ever, ever mentioned any CT. or MASS. connection. I did end up finding a Julia Holmes of about the right age, born in CT.in about 1845. Mine was born in 1844. At some point she'd said her maiden name was HOLMES, but otherwise she gave her maiden name as O'Connell. Any mention of her birth place always said NY. She did also have a Charles Holmes as a godfather for one of her sons, and Albert did have a brother named Charles. Oh, me! That father's name was JOHN HOLMES. Anyway, thank you again to all those who have tried to direct me in a positive direction. I've not mentioned anyone specifically, because I might forget some one, so - thank you to all. I'll just keep looking - and asking - and, etc. LOL Heidi ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

    3. Please understand that you should never go by the birth year on census records. They are almost never right. Half of my relatives had a 5-10 year age difference. But were still the right people. -----Original Message----- From: nynewyor-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nynewyor-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Iamhydee@aol.com Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2007 3:06 PM To: NYNEWYOR-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NYNEWYOR] Help with ALBERT HOLMES May I say thank you to the people who have given me ideas of where to look for Albert (and maybe even his aunt [I think] Julia).
