I am seeking information on how I can obtain a death certificate/record for Henry Bolam who died in New York 23 March 1883. I believe he was married to my relative who was an actress named Helen Barry (given name Elizabeth Short, then she married Alexander Rolls who died). So I do not know what name she was living under - Barry, Short or Rolls? Helen Barry performed in plays in New York and London. I am also interested if anyone can tell me where I may access music/stage or "who's who in Theatre" sort of information for this time frame. Any help is greatly appreciated. Hi Angela- Have you tried ItalianGen? Its a website that has many good databases for New York. Do you know if Harry was British or American? Also, try putting Helen's name in the search on Google Books- Hope this helps!
