I'm looking for John L. MCMANUS (my ggf) in the 1880 census. I'm guessing he married my ggm Catherine MALLOY by the time of that census. My supposition is based on the fact that Catherine arrived in the US in 1872 according to the 1900 census, and her son, another John L. MCMANUS, was born in 1881. Catherine is listed as head of household (widow) at 305 E. 101st St. in the 1900 census. In the 1900 census she is listed as having had 11 children, 7 were still living at the time of the census, but only 3 appear as living with her- the oldest ones as far as I know, including John L.
