One of my ancestors married Harry George Bolam. I believe he died in 1883 in New York. My ancestor was Elizabeth Short (maiden name) she had been previously married to Alexander Rolls. She was an actress who went under the name of Helen Barry. I do not know which name she may have used when she married Harry George Bolam. In the Obituary Notes of the New York Times of 24 March 1883 announced that her husband H. S. Bolam had died suddenly of pneumonia on 23 March 1883, after they had just arrived in the US. So presumably she had remarried in 1882– 83. He was described as late of Little Ingeatre, Stafford and 12 St James’s Place, London. In a court case in 1892 she is named Helen Bolam. In 1891 she leased a home in Bellport Long Island - I do not know if she had remarried or was living there under the name of Elizabeth or Helen - Bolam or another name. I do not know if she died in the USA (NY) or London (England) but am interested in contacting any relative of Harry George Bolam as I am trying to find any information for my ancestor.
