Are divorce indexes for the 1880s online? I'm not in NYCity or NY state. I'm in TX. In the 1880 U.S. census, William R and Josephine TALLEY (and family) were in Brooklyn. William R. TALLEY was also in The Brooklyn, New York General & Business Directory for 1880-81. William R. and Josephine divorced. Josephine remarried in Canada before the divorce in NY was final. Josephine is buried in Canada. But I have no idea when they divorced or what happen to William R. Bill Allen <misterbill@pdq.net>
