Hi, listers, "They're" trying to make me crazy! I am trying to find out just who was the reference (or next of kin person) on a draft registration card. Ancestry, of course, shows me a BLANK even though the name is listed in their index. Is there SKS who would help me by looking at this particular card and telling me who the next of kin (or whatever) is on that card? I cannot get into NYC to check myself. The name is: JOSEPH STACY PHELON, Jr., East Orange, New Jersey and his birth date is January 17, 1886. The main reason I would love to have this information is because I cannot find my HOLMES connection, and it seems to me that somewhere in the past, someone said that a person by the name of Holmes was that person , and I'd like to know more about them!!!
