I thank the folks who are trying to help me find the information I'm trying to get about JOSEPH STACY PHELON, Jr. SKS did send me the info for the WW2 card, but I think the earlier one had a different named reference. (I might be dreaming that I know this, but - -) For some reason I think that on that earlier card someone whose last name is HOLMES is there. Holmes just might be the surname of his wife's uncle or grand uncle but that's only a guess. I've been unable to connect with that particular line of Holmes. Got to try every little angle, right? I have checked out various Holmes people, but none seem to "click." I am grateful for everyone's interest. Thank you.
