    2. Can't help you with which church, but thought I'd mention that the nearest Catholic Church might not be an Irish Catholic Church, and that definately made a difference. Manhatten had French, Irish, Italian and I am sure other sort of Catholic Churches, and while technically you were in a particular parish I would suspect that some people may have crossed parish lines to go to a church of their ethnicity. So, if the nearest church, when you find it, does not have the info keep looking a little further. Sorry I can't be of more help...     3. Keep in mind that all too often the person they listed as "going to" may not have been known to them personally. Very often someone in their home time had a relative in the new country and everyone and anyone could use the name and address.
