I need to quickly go thru a series of NYC b-m-d films for Brooklyn to check out the certs. I have the probables. Where on Long Island, Queens or Brklyn can I view them. I will just be in the area for Tues-Thurs daytimes. and at least one of those days I need to be in the Brklyn Clerk/Courts archives and the Brklyn Library. I had planned to do it at the Plainview FHC but someone there told me on the phone that I'd have to order etc. That person didn't seem very knowledgeable so I thought I'd ask you experts. Hello, Judy....... I don't think you will be able to look at the certificate films anywhere other than at the NYC Municipal Archives at 31 Chambers Street. You can look at indexes in a number of other places, but the actual certificate films are only available at the Muni Archives---sorry!
