This sounds like: "Dr. Emily Jones Barker" - there are several articles about her that I found in www.GenealogyBank.com<http://www.genealogybank.com/> At the time (1910) she was the longest serving officer of Wellesley College - she resigned her position as "resident physician" at the college in 1910. She was elected to that position in 1875. It might be that the Wellesley College Archives would like this portrait.
