Background: There were three New England STAPLES clans in Colonial America, Peter in Maine, Jeffrey in Mass. and Thomas in Conn. Recently a researcher has found that Jeffrey and Thomas were related, this also proved by DNA testing. Have checked NY Times thru Ancestry.com, that's where I got the obits for William and Ernest. I had my DNA done thru theFamily Tree DNA Project (Staples Surname & DNA Project) as have descendents of Jeffrey.
