    3. Try Book Finder on Google Search. Then pick different vendors until you find the least cost dealer. Sometimes you will see a book for $60 and find it for $17 or less on another dealers list. How about that one? (I had a date from an obituary.) 2) The other two death records I was looking for -I had dates from cemetery records but their names were definitely not in the Indices for New York City. I therefore had to scroll through the microfilms, one by one on those approximate dates, and lo and behold! There they were! Not always easy, is it? Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and forward this to your address book friends, asking them to pass it on. THE PROGRAM: On Thursday, September 11th, 2008, display an American flag outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual can make it their duty to display an American flag on this seventh anniversary of our country's worst travesty. This is a gesture of unity to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends, and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who are fighting to preserve our cherished freedoms. In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag represents our country. Together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you. Some folks are choosing to drive with their car lights on. Others will wear red, white, and blue as statements of unity. How are things out West?. In reference to your latest post, Do the Boy Scouts in your area provide you with the flags?. Or is there a sort of ceremony that involves their participation. I had a troop for years, eons ago and we did not do anything like that. We sponsored groups in the schools and churches but our budgets did not include buying stuff and distributing same. Rather we were always looking for donations same as the Girl Scouts, like selling cookies etc. Recognize your input anywhere. Welcome...Cheers, Claudia sic -----Original Message----- From: nynewyor-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nynewyor-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Sue Maxwell Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2008 7:18 PM To: nynewyor@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NYNEWYOR] FLY the FLAG Thursday Everyone in our area has a flag up every holiday and on that day- so lots of us join all of you-it is done through the Boy Scouts- great to see every house with a flag- Sue -----Original Message----- From: nynewyor-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:nynewyor-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of MizScarlettNY@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, September 09, 2008 4:58 PM To: NYNEWYOR@rootsweb.com Subject: [NYNEWYOR] FLY the FLAG Thursday Thursday is the sad anniversary of terrorists destroying America, as we've known it. I never take my flag down, A light shines on it at night instead of unfurling, folding and bringing it inside to return it at daybreak. I love my country un ashamedly and defy anyone to give me attitude about my patriotism. I sing my anthem at sports events and ask God to bless all the kids in the Services and their families for taking care of me and mine. Love of our country never ever goes out of style.
