    3. Hi Bill, What years have you located them in records and where? I see a marriage in 1837 in NYC, Pamela Beebe and William Mackie, I am guessing that is them? 1857 there is an Andrew Mackey in the NYC directories as a merchant, on 64 Pearl, home in Brooklyn but that's way too vague to assume anything yet. Hi Gabriel The NYC 1837 marriage you found is correct. 1838 NYC William Mackie bootmaker 236 Canal, NYC 1839/1840 William Mackie shoemaker, 236 Canal, NYC home 349 Hudson, NYC 1839/1840 & 1840/1841 Andrew M'Kee, shoemaker, 138 Laurens, NYC (I believe this one is incorrect) I found both William Mackie and Andrew M'kee on the 1840 NYC census The next time he turns up is 1850 Mackie, William (no occupation) 304 Grand, Brooklyn (not found on census) 1859/1860 Mackie, Wm, shoemanuf. 19 Flushing, Brooklyn 1860 census Brooklyn AW Mackie, 49,shoe manufacturer, Scotland, Brooklyn WD 9 Dist 1 1861/1862 Mackie, AW 10 Flushing, Brooklyn 1864/1865 Mackie, Andrew clerk, Flushing and B'way, Brooklyn 1865/1866 Mackie, Andrew W. Manuf. B'way NY, h Flushing Ave. n B'way Brooklyn 1966/ Mackey, AW, shoes, B'way c.
