I have 2 burials in Evergreen that have me baffled. I have the deed, 2 burials in Evergreen, Pathway section. Went there and everyone there looked at me funny. Pathway apparently was an indigent burial ground, has been abandoned for at least 90 years and yet here I stood with a deed. They were very nice there, caretaker looked up the plots and walked me to where they *approximately* would be. Most stones (of the few there were in this section) are lost. So, I have looked through the site and find nothing... caretaker there told me to call the historian for the cemetery. I find no such person to contact. I called the cemetery 2x and they also said *call the historian*. The interesting thing about my dead there...one dies in June 1865 and was reintered 1872, the other (wife) died 1869 and was re-intered in the same plot in 1877. Makes no sense, why not move both at the same time, as they were both dead by the time the 1st was moved. And no apparently they were not pauper graves as I have the deed in hand and the receipt (wouldn't you know it, with no notation of payee, just that it was *cash*) Help!! please. Gabriele
