A couple of problems I encountered while looking for NYC records. 1) one death record had Mrs and then the first and last name of her husband. How about that one? (I had a date from an obituary.) 2) The other two death records I was looking for -I had dates from cemetery records but their names were definitely not in the Indices for New York City. I therefore had to scroll through the microfilms, one by one on those approximate dates, and lo and behold! There they were! Not always easy, is it?
