I have searched for William or Andrew Mackie on the 1850 census for years and would appreciate any help. You would think this family would be easy to find but that hasn't been the case. I assumed that they would be in Manhattan or Brooklyn but that might not be so. Bill, Did you ever think that Mackie might have been spelt McKee or MacKee? When doing research anything is possible.
