I am looking for information regarding a Marshall Lafayette Coleman. He was born in NY in December of 1894. His father was William J. Coleman (b. Ohio)and Martha Coleman (nee. Marshall). He traveled extensivly because of his job with Standard Oil Co. He either lived in Manila or got caught there when the Japanese captured the Islands during WWII. He is listed among those civilians who were liberated after the massacre of Manlia. When his father William died, several grandchildren were listed as part of his estate. I believe them to have been children of Marshall's (although I do not know if he ever got married). I suppose these to be Marshall's children because he was the only male child in his family and the grandchildren's last names were Coleman. There names were William Coleman, Barbara Coleman and Patricia (estate in 1932). I don't know if Marshall ever returned to the states or if he died here or in the Islands. His sister Mildred Barto lived in Flushing, Queens, NY. I am assuming that Marshall returned and lived either with his children or with his sister. If Anyone has any info. regarding this man and his family I would love to hear from you. Thank you Joan
