Dear LIST I have just discovered from information on a death cert. that my friend's GU married sometime in New York (most likely Manhattan) between 1942 and 1950. Are there any online or other indexes of marriages during these dates? It is most likely that the marriage took place in a Catholic Church. The couple lived on Amsterdam Ave. Many thanks in advance. Fiona, I'm unaware of any marriage indexes for that time period. However, if you'd like to post the couple's names to the list, I'd be glad to check marriage announcements in the NYTimes.
