I Have two listing in the 1870 census for the same family. (15th ward ) One references ' 2nd enumeration' Anyone know why this might have happened ? Second enumeration would mean it was redone for some reason which affected the accuracy of the first enumeration. If your own family is the same in both enumerations then it doesn't matter.
