Can anyone help me? I am searching for information on my great grandfather Frederick Heine, born @ 1864 in Germany. This is what I've searched thus far and this is what I've found, if anyone can do a lookup and add anything to what I've found I would be most grateful. Please forgive the lengthy explanation below: 1900 census: Fred Heine is listed in Rocky Point, NY with his wife of one year, Elizabeth (born in Germany), and seven children (all born in NY): Geo, Mary, Lizzie, Armanda, Florence and John. indicates he arrived to the US in 1881. His occupation is a farmer. I found a city directory at the Suffolk County Historical Society that lists a Frederick Heine as a farmer. I have a copy of my grandfather's birth certificate (John), born 1900 in Rocky Point listing him and Elizabeth as the parents. Elizabeth is only the mother of Florence and John, which means he was married before. Germany genealogy site, stevemorse site and the Archives in NYC: I can only find one marriage certificate for a Frederick W. Heine. I have a copy of this marriage certificate, but I am not sure it is my Frederick Heine. It indicates he married Martha Aschmoneit (born around 1862 in Germany, parents Julius Aschmoneit and Henrietta Lepohn) in 1895 and he was widowed. If this is my Frederick Heine, then he was married before, which makes sense since five of his children (an I have actually found a sixth child,Emma Heine) were born between 1887 and 1894. BUT in the 1900 census, he has been married to Elizabeth for one year and with two children born 1898 and 1900. SO if this is my Frederick Heine, then between 1895 when he married Martha and 1899 when he married Elizabeth, he was either divorced or widowed again. I also found one death certificate for a Frederick Heine in NY in 1906. I have a copy of this. Again,I don't know if this is my Frederick Heine. It shows his occupation as "cigars" and living in NYC. I have had no luck finding him listed on passenger lists.ANcestry.com: I do know that Elizabeth Heine remarried around 1908, but I don't know if she was divorced from Frederick or widowed. I cannot find any of Frederick's children in the 1910 and 1920 census. His son George reappears in military records and US passport records@1917 and 1919. George names his father as Frederick W. Heine and in 1919 he claims his father is deceased. I found an index card for naturalization for a Fredrick Heins and thought perhaps this was my Frederick, until I realized that it lists him as a "Book keeper" and my Frederick was a "Farmer".Forums: I am always posting and checking the Heine and Hein forums. Sorry for the length e-mail, but this is quite involved and I wanted to let you all know how extensively I've already searched, so you will not duplicate efforts. If you have any other information for Frederick Heine, I would appreciate it. I have not been able to find any marriage certificate for him and Elizabeth (nee Fuchs), which would be around 1898 and 1899. Frederick's son, George (1890) was born in Rocky Point,NY and so was his son John (1900). I am at a loss right now, so any advice or lookups that might give me a lead will be greatly appreciated. Again, sorry for the lengthy e-mail...Liz _________________________________________________________________ Reveal your inner athlete and share it with friends on Windows Live. http://revealyourinnerathlete.windowslive.com?locale=en-us&ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WLYIA_whichathlete_us
