This definitely would be a good source for those who have ancestors arriving in US during those years, However for those of us whose ancestors arrived later as mine did.1880, 1884, 1889, I have found no source on any newspaper for them. I tried checking a source of Obit in a NY paper of great grandmother who's obit in San Francisco papers said NY papers please copy and still haven't found anything or which paper might have had it.
