    3. If memory serves, I think that coroners had to be elected, like a judge, so it is probable/possible that they were one and the same person. I also think that in some areas today coroners are still elected.     3. Also possible to be a Funeral Director. Here in Quakertown, the coroner is a local Funeral Director. Not sure if elected or appointed. Pat C.
