>From time to time I have considered joining the NYGB&S but have not been able to determine what they have on line and if it will help me. Can anyone enlighten me. My interest is Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island. If a subscription will benefit me I will subscribe. I understand that there were some early newspapers. I'm interested in Andrew or William Mackie a shoe manufacturer on B'way or Duane, NYC 1850-1860. I'm also interested in his wife Pamelia/Pamela who died in 1881, Brooklyn Thanks, Bill
Do they still have an online site, after just selling their building and giving all of their books to the NYPL? They used to have HQ, NYTimes, Early American Newspapers, a message board, etc. But They lost the first two and I quit.
