    3. I want to personally thank Laura H. Congleton for helping me research one part of the Van Cleft family. This is part of my grandfather's line. I do a lot of research, and sometimes the records come faster than I can print them out, so I don't always have in mind what I have found. I wanted to find Charles VanCleft on a census with his wife and just couldn't find anything but him at home and his death date and birth year. While I had found some of the records that Laura found, I keep records in a folder until the person marries and then start a new one; On one that we both had found, it didn't dawn on me that he was widowed, as I didn't know, until the other day, from a cousin, that his marriage to his wife and her death took place inbetween census records. So I actually did have one census where he was widowed, although it wasn;'t a census that indicated marital status. She did find one with a possible new wife, and I must ask my cousin if she knows about this- her main interest is in her direct line, but I collect all the cousins I can find. I want the complete picture of a family. She helped me to solidify my understanding of this one particular family, which had a lot of complexities to it. Thanks again, Laura- Sue Maxwell I just learned how to use the non exact part of ancestry this year- for some reason I had never tried it. With this I thought it brought up every possible weird spelling of a name plus other similar ones- is this true or not? I used to think that exact and soundex did that until I learned it only brought up names with the same soundex. Non exact has opened new doors for me. Some time ago someone mentioned "the newspaper section of ancestry"- what are they talking about? I have the most expensive subscription, but I am sure I don't use it all to its fullest value- Thanks- Sue
