In their grave are two babies; Edward McCARTHY who died Jan 06, 1898 of acute Tuberculosis. Edward's State of NY Certificate & Record of Death no.: 709 states he is the son of Maurice & Josephine McCARTHY. Edward's place of death: 304 E. 31st Street, NYC 14 months old and James McCARTHY born Nov 1886 died 21 Jan 1887 NYC. I'm not able to acquire a death certificate for James but wondering if he was not the son of Charles & Elizabeth McCARTHY (my great-grandparents) as is the case with Edward McCARTHY Trying to determine where my great-grandparents migrated from in Ireland and perhaps Maurice is an unknown brother of my Charles.
