Sue - Have you tried the Italian Gene website? They have a great index for death certificates that covers that time period, you may be able to find the parents there. Also a index of marriages is there, you may be able to find the parents marriage. Check for the witnesses to the wedding if you order the certificate, often these are family. A sister or brother may have taken in one of the children. The father may not have been able to care the children if something happened to their mother, or they both have died. Thanks, Carol L.
