Hi Nicola, I see that his name is spelled Allen on several census. Perhaps that is why the cem. didn't find the record? If they just checked a computer record & typed in the exact spelling than they may have missed it. Try asking for anyone with surname QUIRK from 1938. If they ask for the first name than ask them to check several spellings, Alan, Allen, Allan, etc. I don't see him on www.findagrave.com Regards, Sherri Hi there, I'm writing from Auckland, New Zealand and I have just started doing US research quite recently. Most of my distant relatives are in New Jersey but I also have a few New York connections. I found a death for a distant relative on the familysearch.org website, and I'm hoping someone can help me identify the correct cemetery. I have already tried calling a couple of cemeteries in Farmingdale which I googled, and perhaps I was way off on the wrong track. As per below, the burial place is Pinelawn and the Cemetery is St Charles Cem. I tried calling Pinelawn Cemetery on (631) 249-6691 but they said I had the wrong cemetery and Alan wasn't buried there. I also called St Charles/ Resurrection Cemetery on (631) 249-8700 and had the same result.
