I have a family member who is listed on Ancestry in "SS Applications and Claims Index" but this is only an index. Does anyone know if the original documents exist and if they are accessible? Also, to pick your brains a bit: this person seems to be listed twice with two different SS numbers. Same parents, different birth years, though only one year apart.
