    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" a group of photographs belonging to the RIEMANN Family of New York City, New York. The first photograph is one of Augusta RIEMANN which was taken at the DeYoung's Studio in New York City. The photograph is dated 1886-1887 and notes that Augusta is about five years old at the time it was taken. The second photograph is one of Fritz RIEMANN and was also taken at the DeYoung's Studio in New York City, this one dated 1885 with Fritz appearing to be in his 40's or 50's at the time it was taken. The third and fourth photographs are the same, photographs identified as Annie RIEMANN which were taken at the Jesse J. Groom Studio in New York City. The photographs appear to have been taken in the 1880's with Annie noted as "born 1883", she would appear to be about 2-3 years old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding this family: Augusta RIEMANN b. 7 Nov 1882 in Manhattan, NY to parents Charles RIEMANN and Lena SCHLEER 1900 census of Manhattan Boro, NY: Kate RIEMANN, age 58, born May 1842, married 31 years, 8 children/5 living, born NY, parents born Germany, a Storekeeper Louisa RIEMANN, dau, born NY ? 2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" two old photograph, both I believe belong to the SEEGER Family of New York City. The first is identified as Gussie SEEGER and was taken at the Fredrick's Studio on Broadway in New York City. The photograph is dated 1890 with Gussie likely in her teens are the time it was taken. The second photograph is not identified, however, it is either of the same girl or a sister as the resemblance is obvious. The second photograph was taken at the Bostwick Studio in New York City with the subject likely in her teens at the time. This photograph was likely taken in the 1880's or 1890's as well. I am hoping to locate someone from this SEEGER Family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to their rightful place with family. Is this the date of your birth? Does the certificate you have list parents names or anything about them? Does the certificate give an address where the birth took place? What religion did your adoptive parents follow? It might be a clue as to what agency may have handled the adoption. Example, New York Foundling Hospital and so on. I am not sure what a birth cert from the late 50's would show. Ones in the late 60's from Queens County show the mother and fathers name, ages, whether a first child and so on and on. 2. Looking for information about this couple, most specifically any children of this couple. One of their children was EDWARD A. Trying to find out if there was a JULIA as a sibling of Edward. JULIA married JAMES WALKER HAY. Time frame mid to late 1850's or so. Mostly in Manhattan, but some of the family may have lived in Brooklyn then, or later on. Looking back on my notes, all I can find are 'teaser notes." Thank you, Heidi **************Create a Home Theater Like the Pros. Watch the video on AOL Home.
