I have spoken with several wonderful folks in the Long Island area that are distant cousins of William H. Craft Sr. No one seems to have information on Bill Jr.(deceased) and Doris. This posting was really geared towards getting a response from a Vandewater cousin that may have knowledge of a Doris (Craft) married to a Vandewater. Doris's estimated age is about 60-80 years old. I am sorry,if you went to the trouble to look for information in the Methodist Church records. It is my understanding this cemetary was for early residents of Lawrence, including the Crafts. Earlier than the time frame I mentioned in my posting. I suggest that you re-read my posting. I am doing research on a Swedish female connection and names are a fleeting commodity, but I feel that descendents of Doris Craft would recognize the names. The parents are buried in Hewlett. Although I think your remarks are presumptive, I want to thank you. It is always nice to know where records can be viewed. I do not live in New York state.
