They had a daughter, Jerusha, who married Maurice/Morris PLEA/PLACE in 1766. Maurice moved to Dutchess County, NY, and served in the Revolution but left for NC just before 1800 where he presumably died. Two of his sons, Issac and William, owned 15,000 acres in the Dismal Swamp area where the canal was built and where they were involved in the timber and shingle industry. It is interesting that your Jackson/Hallet family had a son who died in SC. Do you know what brought him there? THANKS! ~Judy Place Maggiore
