Clara (Neff) Kessell was murdered in Baldwin Harbor (we think) in the course of a burglary or robbery of her home. Supposedly she was beaten to death in her bed. We don't know if a suspect was apprehended or not. We don't know the date but have been told that this occurred in the late 1950's. She lived at Baldwin Harbor. Her husband, Eddie, owned a bar in Queens. To our knowledge she had no children. We aren't sure if Clara and Eddie were even still married to each other when she died. Clara was my great- aunt. If anyone out there even can tell us which direction to turn to get information since our clues are few we will appreciate the assistance. Thanks in advance.
