Librarian Judith Ranta will present a program about how resources at the White Plains Public Library can assist you in researching your family history. A guided tour of the library will follow. The 2002 Surname List contains 3,837 surnames being researched by 209 members who have submitted 5,159 surnames. Westchester names are highlighted in the list. The Surname List is free to all WCGS members (Septermber 2002). You can receive the surname list in 2 ways: at the monthly meetings or by having it mailed to you (send a check for $1.65 for postage). For non-members, the cost of the 2002 Surname List is $8, which includes the postage. The 1999 and 1997 Surname Lists are still available at a cost of $5.
