Use the card catalog to see what is available. Wm Eardeley 's original works are there with his searches into many of the old L.I surnames. This is material that will be found there or on Salt Lake films. There are indexed newspaper extracts from the 1800's with dated vital records filed on blue cards. Under surnames, you will find work that others have contributed to the library. Some are a few pages and others are manuscripts. When you are finished at the library go up to Sutphin Blvd & Hillside Ave. to the archives in Probate Court. Most of the books are out where you can search at will. Xerox your family wills there.
