Actually my g aunt, Emma Louise TOTTEN and my g grandmother Josephine Davis TOTTEN were both born in NYC; their brother Washington Agustus TOTTEN was born in Central Park, L.I. about 1854, so the family moved back and forth between NYC and Oyster Bay.
