Local histories place Thomas as arriving on a Dutch frigate in 1637 settling in Bayside. Christopher was probably the one who was also resident of Southampton who was a farmer in Ewell, Surrey, England and arrived on the Abigail to Lynn, MA 1635. But no good data exist for his parents (albeit many confusing genealogies have been posted without good documentation). Thomas' cousin was Henry son of John Foster Sr. d. 10 Mar 1686/7 Jamaica according to his will. But who was William, listed as friend? Was John Sr. the one from South Haven, CT and also listed in East Hampton? Pete
