If you really want to see her at her best, check out the 3 Stooges Short "In the Sweet Pie and Pie", where a good-spirited, fiesty and very sexy Dorothy gets the gooiest and sloppiest cream pie in the face that you'll ever see!! The way she slowly milks the scene, mugging for the camera underneath a faceful of gooey mess and doing a hilarious "slow burn" as she wipes two tiny eyeholes through the whipped cream must be seen to be believed. Of all the actresses who ever got plastered in a Stooges short, nobody took a pie in the face like Dorothy Appleby! What a sport! Hope this helps...
