Was this the same Creed family who lived at the corner of Noble Street and Hempstead avenue and sold the house to Robert Ellmore and wife Catherine Ellmore(nee Bartholf). the house at the southwest corner of Noble street and Hempstead avenue was believed to be more that 200 years old and was believed to have once been the home of Merrick road Toll Gate tender( name unknown). The house was a two story of 10 room and 2 fireplaces. It was covered with hnd hewn shingles and fstened with wooden peg.
