Nov 1848 in England and came to the US in 1870 as a bricklayer. He married Ella Pollitt (from NY) here and raised his family- Eva, John Jr., Arthur, Lester and- in Glen Cove, NY. Also, does anyone know if there is was a union or some sort of organization for Long Island masons/brick layers in the 1870's- 1900's? Thanks
