    1. Re: [NYNAS ] NEW YORK 1930 CENSUS INDEX AT ANCESTRY
    2. Pat
    3. Sadly, I do not think the index is complete. I found a Felix Koziuk family in Weschester County but I never heard of them. My grandparents, Stanislaw and Julia Koziuk were living at 601 Metropolitan Ave., Brooklyn around 1930 but their name did not come up in the search. I also could not find my uncle and aunt, who I did find in Nassau Co. by scrolling through the pages. The name was misspelled Koziuck but I recognized them in Hicksville. Maybe they haven't indexed Brooklyn yet. Worse case to me - my family was at work and never counted. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deborah L. 1. Re: [NYNAS ] BARNEY VOTYPKA
    2. Pat
    3. Dear Nancy, I searched the 1920 census and found Marie Votypka as head of the household living on a farm on Woodbury Road in Hicksville. The children listed are BARNEY, 25, Justin, 22, Helen, 15, Anna, 12 and Josephine, 9. There is no mention of the father. Have you written to St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church on Broadway, 11801? They were most helpful to me. It did take a little time because the secretary who does that research is a part-time employee. The name sounds familiar because my mother was born in Hicksville in 1914 and so was I, many years later. Sadly she is deceased because of cancer or she would be able to tell me about the family. I do have an aunt who still lives in Hicksville and I shall write her a letter and ask if she can offer any help.
