My GGGrandfather Sylvanus Twist , married to Phebe Barber in 1827, was listed in the 1840 census as living in Amsterdam, Montgomery, NY. I am interested to know if anyone has run across information concerning him or his family, to what church Sylvanus might have belonged, or who his parents might have been. Thanks to all.
