Hi Jerry, I can't help you very much, but there was a John Twist, age 60 & born in CT living in Mohawk, Montgomery County, NY in the 1855 NY State Census. There was also a Titus Twist who was 25 and born in Ohio. Both of these persons were living together. There were no women in the household.
