    3. I replied privately to Richard, wasn't sure if anyone on the list would be interested. Silly of me really. I have been fortunate in finding information on Eliza Ann Vrooman. Her parents were Barent H. Vrooman and Maria Smith. Barent died in Montgomery County, and was the son of Volkurt Vrooman and Jannetje Veeder. Jannetje was the daughter of Volkurt Veeder and Marie Hardenburgh. I have a book of the Veeder family which also mentions a lot of allied families. If anyone thinks they may have a connection to this family I will be happy to do lookups. A question about the Vroomans: I bought a Palentines to America book by Adam Vrooman. It was a fictionalized history of the Palentine Germans and mentioned a lot of the early familes of the region that I can verify. There were pictures in the book as well. Is there anyone who knows what was real and what was made up in this book? (It was a great read, by the way). Thanks! And special thanks to Richard who answered my WHH Cook quest! 3. Hi Tracy, In the book you mentioned that you have, did it happen to mention the Steele family. I would be very interested in any information you could share my way. My Steele family is originally from Schenectady and later went to Montgomery & Herkimer Counties. Thank you for your consideration!
